STRESS

Assalamualaikum and very good morning to u sir and to u all. I will present the introduction. My group topic is “stress”. My part is introduction and conclusion about the stress. Next is Tiny, she will talk about types of stress. Shima will talk about the effect of stress. Atie will talk about the causes of stress and lastly Nora will talk about the solution to overcome stress.

My part is introduction of stress. “Stress isn’t all bad, without stress, there would'nt be any life”. Adjustment change, either good or bad is stressfull. Whether it’s a positive or negative change the psychology effect is the same.

The first one is called emotional distress, a situation where one feels anxious, angry, annoyed, and depressed at same time. The second one is called physical stress, a situation where one suffers headache, jaw pain, tendons and ligaments. Both symptoms are individual stress.

Another types of stress is called episodic acute of stress. Everyone suffers at least once but some people have a pattern of recurrences. Examples of the symptoms are persistent tension and migraine headaches, hypertension, asthma, chest pain and heart disease.

Lastly is called chronic stress. Psychologists say that chronic stress can be the result of childhood traumas that become internalized and effect a person’s belief system and personality. Examples of the symptoms are any of depressions, heart disease, migraine headaches and hypertension. Chronic stress is dangerous to a person mental and physical health. People with form of stress should seek specialists advice.

The serius problem that caused the long-term stress. Some condition that may lead to the chronic stress are health problem, emotional problem and relationship problem.

Health problem occurs due to chronic illneses such as heart disease, diabetes and arthritis. Then for the emotional problem, it is related to the unexpressed or uncontrolled anger, depression or low self-esteem.

Next the relationship problem, we can say that there is no good communication with others such as family, friends or someone special to share our feelings. For example, the relationship problem in marriage that end with divorces.

Insomnia can be the cause of stress or the result of it., it has been reported that at least one _third and perhaps as much as half of the U.S. population suffers from some form of insomnia. If you are anxious, nervous, depressed, bored or lonely or are suffering from disease or injury, you may have problems getting enough sleep. Excess intake of caffeine, drugs or alcohol can cause insomnia. After that, Muscle pain People who are stressed often have neck, shoulder, and low back pain. This may be caused by constant tension in the muscle because of stress.

Under stress, the body becomes more vulnerable to illnesses, from colds and minor infections to major diseases. If you have a chronic illness such as AIDS, stress can make the symptoms worse. Examples symptoms include fatigue, weight loss, diarrhea, fever, night sweats, thrush (infection in the mouth and throat), and swollen lymph nodes of the neck, armpits, and groin. The Skin problems is stress can make disorders such as acne or psoriasis worse.

Anxiety and depression on mental health. Nervous breakdown occurs when a person is suffering from severe stress for a very long time. There is a sudden change in the behavioural pattern of the person. A person with nervous breakdown is unable to perform his normal duties as done by him earlier. Some other individuals might experience uncontrollable need to cry, loss of energy, withdrawal, confusion, inability to think clearly, sleep disruption or insomnia and a loss of pleasure in day to day activities, a feeling of worthlessness and depression.

Stress management is important as it will help to maintain the well being of the people. The best solution to this is to adopt a positive attitude. Have a positive attitude towards works and problem will helps to distress. People who have a positive attitude will normally focus on finding the solution of the problem instead of complaining at the situation. When they focus on finding the solution, they will be able to solve the problems faster. This will in turn causes less stress to the people.

Having a positive attitude towards life and have a positive thinking about oneself will really help one to live life easier and happier. When you have positive attitude and have self-confidence, you will be able to reverse the negative experience that you are facing into a positive experience which you will be able to learn lesson from. The moment when you have the mindset, you will not get stuck in a situation when you will just stare at the problem and get stress up. This will be unnecessary stress.

Try this simple method that will help. The first thing that you say to yourself when you wake up is to tell yourself that you will start the day with a positive attitude and you will look at all situation with the positive outlook. Throughout the day, remind yourself that all problems are new lessons for you to learn. If you are able to do that, you will be shock at the results. You will feel that today seems to be quite a smooth day and you do not face so much stress. So start adopting a positive attitude today and may the stress go away.
You will be relax. It is better to relax yourself after a period of studying. Take a short walk and breathe-in the fresh air. Drinking a glass of hot drink can also help you to relax.

Work on something that interest you. I think every one should have something interesting to do. For example, reading comics, watching TV,or play a game of sport. These are effective medicienes for your stress. Whenever you feel that are under stress, you can do the work you like. Don’t dwell on the problem.

Talk with others. Another effective method of solving stress is through social method - a quite effective way. Anyone who are under pressure or stress should talk freely with their best friends. It does not matter about what you talk or who are chosen to listen to you. Just express your emotion to the one are willing to listen. It would certainly relief you temporarily from the stress.

Sleeping. From my point of view, stress would worsen if we do not have enough sleep. A research had found that a person who do not sleep in the last 24 hours will have less self-control and tend to be more bad tempered. So sleeping is important.
Instant method. The methods mentioned above take a long period to relief you from stress. A quicker method is to practise deep breathing. This is because when we are under stress, our breathing becomes erratic indicated by fast and shallow breathing.

This condition will affect our lungs' intake of air. You can follow this breathing practice, first stand up straight (stand with your head face forward, shoulders neck relaxed and don't apply addition force to your body. Second, Inhale deeply until you can't take in anymore air .(It is important to have a steady inhalation,, you can feel it by putting your left hand on your stomach, and your body should feel the chest rise up from the lower part to the upper part of your body. Also try to hold the air for the new seconds, third exhale the air slowy and lastly repeat it a few times. It is quite easy. I think of you can do this home.

Some forms of stress is positive. Negative stress can take an enormous toll on one's body and mind. Studies have demonstrated its powerful influence on physical and mental health.
